Amnesty International has released a petition to the Venezuelan government demanding the immediate release of opposition politician Antonio Rivero.
For two days he was without any access to his lawyers. He is accused of "provoking hatred and conspiracy to commit crime". I think that more than what Rivero might or might not have said after the election day, the Cuban government - and thus Maduro- was particularly conccerned with what Mr Rivero had been saying with regards to the level of penetration of Cuban intelligence in Venezuela.
Rivero is now on hunger strike.
Please help with this petition. You will find the address and email of the ministry you can write to. A suggestion of mine: add a copy to the international media.
