Inflation in Chavezlandia


This chart so simple and yet I am still waiting to see one like it in a Venezuelan newspaper. Apparently, Venezuelan journos and politicians don't think Venezuelans can read charts...unless perhaps those charts refer to political preferences.

I got the data from the World Bank and the IMF, plotted it using a logarithmic scale and voila, this is what you get for inflation in key Latin American countries (I forgot Argentina, but even that case would not make things better for Venezuela)
