Venezuelan colours (II): Arara - Guacamayo

If this animal is not beautiful...
The Arara (in Pemón and other Carib languages), Guacamayo rojo (in Spanish) or red-and-green macaw is a bird you can find all over Northern South America in the deep forest. It is really a pleasure to the eyes. Unfortunately, many people think we humans should be putting them in cages.

These are in France.

  1. The pictures loaded slowly on my computer. At first, seeing only the top inch or so of the picture, I thought the top picture was of Thugo in a red beret. Is that an example of Chavez Derangement Syndrome?

  2. That's one of the most beautiful birds and you thought it was Chávez! It is that syndrome!
